The event, organized by the city of Punta Arenas, in collaboration with several writers, was unveiled to the media. On this occasion, the mayor Boccazzi Emilio Campos, said: « The municipality is particularly involved with this competition for young students. They explore an iconic literary work: The Little Prince, which will mark the lives of future generations as it scored ours. This is a work that will survive the years thanks to its beautiful message. »

In addition, he added, « the author had a strong relationship with this region through his experience as an airline pilot. He transformed it into a source of inspiration, so that his work acquires a particular value. »

A nice way to pay tribute to Antoine de Saint-Exupery, the pilot who opened the Buenos Aires – Punta Arenas airline in the last century, for the 70th anniversary of the Little Prince.

A trip to Antarctica!

This contest asks students, assisted by their teacher, to write an additional chapter to the Little Prince. The story will take place in Patagonia.
